Hello, I am Ana
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. I'm an expat living in Lisbon, Portugal.
Some years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Portugal wasn't in our long-range plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet over time routines started to take shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Created Kelta Vomyr Zen
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Portugal.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site IS:
- Hands-on experience from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site IS NOT:
- A travel authority resource
- Sponsored-review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in Portugal goes on, as does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Ana
